Hello folks,
made a little progress on this fusilier. I decided to "shave" his horizontal pockets (They wore in bad shape) and create vertical pockets, french regiments with white metal buttons had vertical, the ones with yellow metal button had horizontal.
I also added a trim around the lapels, all using greenstuff.
Finally primed the figure last nite, so i think i will put some color tonight, maybe.
the regiment this trooper belong it will be the Navarre (re. #5) , this regiment wore white coat with black lapels, black cuffs and white metal buttons.
Haven't decide yet if i am going to make him part of a little 3 figure vignette , so for now i will focusing on completing this guy.
All the best.

Daniel nice conversion work and looking forward to seeing the painting, a great choice of regiment BTW. (y)

Cheers Ken

Marquis,

Here's my one bit of advice. If this were my conversion I would cut the Neck almost completely off just below chin level and pin it in the body, you can fill in any small gaps with putty. It will look more realistic. Right now the neck and head look out of proportion with the figure.

Thanks Ken! , i like this regiment too ,although i never painted lapels in black and it may be a challenge.
I am thinking of ordering the Andrea black paint set.
cheers and thank you for passing by.

thanks for your advice Mike, i looked at the pics more and more and you are absolutelly right.
i will guillotine him :p, and make his neck fatter and less taller,i think that will take care of the issue.
I really appreciate your advice.
best regards
