Hi all,
its been a while I know but I have been pushing the putty about, while on a breaks at work and finishing at home I came up with this chap, the mindset is still with the Victorians.
I have for some time wanted to sculpt a Sikh native of this period,a friend of mine was a good model for this but his beard is rather wild so I headed for a compromise,I was always taken with Rual's 70mm figure so in a way this is just a bigger version:)
I have a casting (pictured) that I'm painting for the box art,I will post some pic's in due course.........
I used duro/magic sculpt mix for the detail.
Hope you like it;)
Best Regards
Paul

Hi All
thanks for posting on this thread all of you and I confess I've really dragged my heels on this bust, the world and his cat have taken over my modeling life, all that big brush politics, motorcycle in bits, holidays:bored:
Enough was enough so arse in seat out with the paints when found them after the decorating,it was more than one sitting I admit but this is how it looks now.
As always thanks for taking the time to look:happy:
Best Regards
Paul

Hi Adrian,
Thanks',
some of the native were very dark, a good mate of mine is stormch to he's customs with turban and un cut beard, although being in England for a very long time if he goes back to India normally nigh a month come home looking like a new man and a fair bit darker,so the the tone I chose was a compromise .
The Indian completion is not that strait forward from the paiters vieu, they tend to go mid brown if working outside, the Caucasian tend to go golden brown.
People can make their own choice if they buy a casting, I will release this bust soon!
Thanks' for posting.
Best Regards
Paul
