Hi all,

Finally registered on the forums after lurking around. I would like to share the Young bust that i am working on. It's one of his earlier busts, the DAK Panzer NCO.

This would be my first time painting a DAK figure and as i understand it, getting the tropical tunic right can be a challenge. The various sources i referenced ranged from the tropical olive green to tan. Since it's my first DAK figure, i decided to go with the tropical olive green and went with a field cap somewhat bleached tan that's befitting of a vetearn of the african campaign.

I hereby humbly subject my work for critique :) (attached 1 photo)

Hope to learn more from everyone here at Planetfigure !

Very nice work indeed. Personaly i like the way you paint the fleshtones - very realistic IMHO.

Hello Rompy, For your first D.A.K. bust, I think your painting, and color choices are excellent. The face looks great, and nice shading of the uniform. Best of luck with its completion. Regards, SG:)(y)(y)

Thanks for the encouragement ! Will be finishing this up over Easter and post more pics then :)

As promised, here are some photos of the completed bust.Pardon me if the photos are not well taken. (taken with a Samsung S2)

It's been a fun project, especially with the copper wires ! The bust was painted with Jo Sonja acrylics and sealed with a matt coat.

Happy Easter everyone:) :)
