This figure is an oldie, like me. He has been sitting in the gray army for years. Recently, I pulled him out and dusted him off. The pose is very graceful and I have always liked it. So I got out the acrylic paints and started in on him. My old eyes are shot, and even with extreme magnification, I can hardly see. That, mixed with shaky hands makes it hard to make a master piece. But I think this guy turned out okay. He was a lot of fun to paint, but the lace on the cuffs and the detail on the trumpet cord were very tedious.
Please advise on mistakes and comment on how to improve.
Thanks,
Petey Pete

Pete, Great job on the PM Dragoon Trumpeter. It is absolutely one of my favorite kits of all-time! You did an outstanding job on it too! Can't wait to see it in person:)

Thanks for all the nice comments, they are most appreciated.
Colin, I used craft paint, Delta Creamcoat English yew green with a little reaper flat black and Vallejo German camo brown mixed in to get the dark olive green color for the pants. The highlights are straight English yew green.

I think you're being a bit hard on your eyes. Figure is very nicely done. I'll trade you my eyes for yours if you are still not satisfied.
