A bit more progress on this one last night. The colour added to the stable jacket and dirtied a bit in places and work started on the braid, shoulder belt and cap lines

Well, I rotated my phone 90 degrees as suggested to try and get the pictures the right way up instead of on their side and this is the result. This may be beneficial for any of our Southern Hemisphere members but that’s about it! I give up with this photo lark.

Hi there

You have done a lot more on this certainly going to be very striking when finished , the contrast of the blue and the gold so great

I turned pics for you ...try just putting them into the text as full image ...I will turn if it's needed for you no problem

Thanks for sharing

Cheers Nap, come to the rescue again.

you seem to have rotated the wrong way, most if not all phones are based on the old 35mm camera configuration, so if you like most people take photos with the phone long ways up that is portrait in the 35mm camera style, so when you down load it comes out wrong, if you turn the phone 90 degrees (land scape style)so your taking button is with your right hand all should be well.

either way great piece love the facial expression as the painting is looking great.

Hi there

Happy new year Neal to you and family

Like it ...the girdle adds a nice splash of colour with the crimson against the uniform colour

Look forward to seeing the pouch details

Happy. Benchtime

Great flesh tones Cannonball!!
what enamel base color do you use ?

Thanks
Ben
Thanks Ben. I use Humbrol Matt flesh and Matt white and mix up a lighter base shade than the colour straight flesh tends to give. I do it till it just looks right for me, no exact measurements.

Hi Neal

How's this one coming along ...did I miss the finish ?

Nap
Hi Nap, no you didn’t miss it. Much the same as with the Skinners Horse, I was waiting for a base. Now I’ve got that I just need to finish off some work on the lace then I’ll post up some completed pics.

Hi Neal

Thanks for reply , glad I never missed the finale ....

Where are you getting the bases from ...Ooakwood , Pete's Bases ? , I have both but woukd certainly recommend those from PF member S-73 , owner of S73 Bases .

Look forward to seeing all based up

Enjoy the benchtime

Nap

PS .......did you use the sword on the Lancer or make a more stable one ?
