I have not seen this figure in many years, but you have done a top-notch job of painting him. Thanks!! (y)(y)(y)

One small point: the lower cockade on his hat is the national one. It should be black, white and red reading from the outer ring. Simply paint your red ring white and the center red.

Cheers!!

Mike

Thanks for that Mike...........I was copying a lousy photo of the box art..........I'll sort it
Your sculpts are easy to paint.......unlike a lot dross on the market!

Just want to clear that the higher cockade is the national one with the colors black/white/red (going from outside).
The lower one shows the cockade with colors representing the specific kingdom or duchy within the German Empire, were your original unit came from (Stammregiment).

In Carl Allmenröders case (note Carl with C), he first served in the artillery, Field Regiment 62, and that means that the color of the band of his
cap would be black and not red. The technical troops like the air force also had a black band. The cockades on his cap world be the national black/white/red on the upper one, and black/white/black on the lower one representing Prussia/Preussen.
