    Hello

Man, I knew I should have password protected your computer when I had the chance. I'm sorry guys, we'll try to get this situation back under control.

    Awards

I was thinking of something along the lines of a big spear, or another weapon of sorts. Of course, with the club logo engraved on it. But maybe the judges wouldn't be to pleased of having well armed people looking to talk to them after the show.

    Naval Brigade Officer Done!

Keith, brush a little Dull Coat or Vallejo flat varnish over the glue spots. That should kill the reflection and make it not as noticeable.

    Silly Putty works great.

    Suggestions Please

Steve, I've got two options for you. Don't spray the SnJ. Just use the gold powder. Buff it into the clear plastic. It will work it's way into the the plastic, leaving the color and still be translucent. But try it out on a piece of clear scrap plastic first. The grain of the powder may be too...

Figgie pics of my latest dio "Streetfight"

Oh man, if you've never played the game "Call Of Duty" in multiplayer mode, that diorama really captures the intensity of the rail yard map. Way too cool! Maybe I should do more painting and less game playing. ;) But that is so cherry. I love it.

    Painting in reverse question.

Excellent guys. Now I can get this sucker back on the road to recovery. He's got so many brush marks on his face, it looks like someone scrubed him across a cheese grater. I do appreciate it. Hey John this Friday's meeting is at the Baca Homestead, if you and Anders are inclined to head in this...

    Painting in reverse question.

Hey ya'll. I've got a resin bust covered in oils with Vallejo acrylics as a base coat and Floquil gray primer under it all, and I'm needing to strip the thing back down to resin (primer if that's not possible). I was wondering if anyone has any voodoo mixes, or might there be a commercially...

    Figure shows in 2005???

I think we'd need to have an Adult Pass verification to read Doug's poems.

    gluing with a brush

Oh, you don't clean the brush. You have to volunteer a brush to "take one for the team". So don't use a good one, because it's no good for painting once you've dipped it in Tenax. And you also need to use one that is made of real hairs, not man made fibres, because the Tenax will just melt the...

a pilot, his dog and a fokker

Sure is John. I did a little window shoping this afternoon.

a pilot, his dog and a fokker

Wencho man, that looks awesome. I remember the picture you had of the pilot, superimposed, sitting on the wheel of your Fokker, at Tulsa two years ago. But please tell me that you didn't scratch build another Fokker. Otherwise, I'll have to sell off all my aircraft kits and take up needlepoint. ;)

    Roman Legionary 1st C BC

A sugestion, if I may, Ernesto. In the third picture you posted, it seems the flesh paint has rolled onto the face plate a bit, giving the apearance that his skin is glued to the face plate. Maybe a deep shadow or an outline of some sort between the face and face plate would give it a better...

    How about your ideas?

I think what he is trying to say is that he would like to market the piece. But that since it is a scaled up copy of a Pegaso piece, there may be some issues. And does anyone have any ideas of what could be done. At least that is what I think the idea of the post is. But anyway, that is a...

    Wanted: Tarawa Marine

John, I have no idea what scale it was in. I just remember seeing it in a magazine or catalog many years ago, back when I would have never considered painting a figure. But now I have an idea of something I would like to do with it. Thanks for the info Guy. And I appreciate the e-bay eyeball.

    Wanted: Tarawa Marine

Ok, here's the poop. I've been looking for this figure for a few years now. Of the many people I've talked to say that they think they know of what piece I'm talking about. I don't know, because it was discontinued years before I ever considered taking up figure painting. It is of a Marine...

    Zoot Suit Riots

I'm pretty sure there was also a show on the History Channel a few months ago that also dealt with the riot. Make sure you have some proper music playing in the background while you're putting this one together. ;)

Thanks Roger, time to make a Magic Sculpt souffle.

    Magic Sculpt

I know that heating the resin part up in the oven will soften it back up, but will it work if you microwave it? If so, for how long? Thanks
