I have finially finished up the sculpting of this figure. I now need to take it apart so I can cast it up. It seems a lot of Tim's freinds want copies of this figure. So it seems I have not just done this for myself.

Really nice work I see nothing to criticize here. :-) I like the look of the bear skin.

Ok so need to update this a bit. I finished adding buttons to sleeves and back of coat. I also got the collar brass on. I added the wreath to his belt buckle. I also need to add a Z for Zed to the center. Last thing will be the octupus breast badge. then clean it up sharpen some details.

Lovely figure . I like the fact that she looks like a real woman and not a Barbie doll like so many female figures do.

So todays update. I resculpted epaulets added buttons to front of coat trimmed the edges of the sleeves and re worked the goblet slightly.

Finially got the last part of the uniform finished now on to fine tuning and detail sculpting.

Finially an update of Captain Z. I had a false start with his belt it was too thick and had a square buckle. I removed that and did a new one from foil, and added the round buckel. It is just the basic shapes right now. I added his left sleeve and started to paly with the placemnt of this...

Mike you should know that I love hand sculpted figures. Our whole line up to this point has been hand sculpted figures. I am trying to embrace this new techonolgy and it is only in the last few years that I think it has come to a point where you can get a nice figure from the process. Ten years...

A few small updates of the figure. I raised his left sholder up a bit it just seemed very low before. I started on his coat today it is a little rough at the moment, but should come togher in the next day or so.

I am really happy with the sculpt and am looking forward to seeing the grown figure. This is our first foray into the world of grown figures.

Max those prints are stunning. That jointed figure is brilliant. What a great idea for a mannequin all those holes give puttty or clay a palce to bite.

Can Shapeways print a 1/32 scale figure. That is the scale we most commonly do. And thanks for taking the time to help educate a novice

Hi All, So I have a small figure company and had been talking to some new sculptors, and they have pointed out that they can also sculpt digitally. I just wonder where I would get the figures grown, and who are the best growers? Any help would be most welcome.
