So got the coat tails a little long and after looking at some more photos of Tim I realized the materal of the coat was not as heavy as I rememberd it being. So I trimed off the exesse length and added sme extra wrinkles to make it look a little less heavy. It gives it a little more life. Still...

I turned some glasses today. The big cup above came from the spars box. I believe it is a Border Miniatures piece so if I produce this it will need to be replaced. So I am working on a selection of my own.

I tried a few glass options yesterday. This is the base acadmy figure. http://www.friulmodel.hu/en/academy-figure-54mm-i125/ The base for the head is one from my Kings Road Miniatures line.

Locking in the pose. The leaf is a joke for some freinds of mine. I have not posed the hand as I will need to make the drinking vessel to do that. Exactly what cup to use is still up in the air at the moment.

I understand that Souter is depicted the way he is for artistic reasons rather then practical. I still wonder if there was some military training in this style of fighting. or if it was simply born of necessity?

So if you have a figure wielding a sword and a pistol which hand holds which? I am thinking the arm that is skilled in the use of the sword holds that weapon. So most likely the right arm. I have seen figures and paintings of Captain Souter with it in either hand. Thoughts?

I actually worked on some of the first 1/18 scale planes that 21st Century Toys did. I have seen them converted in to some very nice models. These figures could make those planes into show stoppers.
