Hi All,
We are about to box up our newest figure of the hero Roland. We like the horn sculpted by Ekapong, but both my partner Larry and I thought a horn meant to signal an army in waiting should be a bit larger, and louder. So I modified a casting. I have cast both, which do you prefer?

Well John that is why I asked. Horns are very light objects even with extra metal bits they are hollow so have little weight. I was thinking about this today, and all it would take to make the horn smaller again would be a pair of cutters and file. Or simply asking me to include the original part. ;-)

I was thinking about having both but the box is very crowded as it is. The base sits under the foam so that would be a bad place to put it so it will need to be a special request.

To me the big horn looks wrong by where it is held.
If of that size the hand would be more in the middle to allow for the weight of the bell- end of horn.
I know it is possible as they are lightweight but naturally you grab things at the centre and to me the larger one looks off balance.
Go with small, in my opinion
It does also seem to overpower the aesthetics of the figure

Other option is 2 separate hands and horns (with a bigger box :)
Nice piece though and the little extra thoughts show a quality piece

Best wishes

I have to buck the trend here (although not the poll oddly enough) I prefer the larger one myself it's more suited to a heroic type of figure, but like the others do think the best option is both

I don't suppose there is any chance of a medium one ??? :angelic:! ... the small one looks, well, small! I could probably pass wind with a louder decibel range, than if that was blown! .. but the larger one is off balance by the hand position!

We just have the small and the large, but you could cut the larger one down. I just added to what Ekapong had done and took nothing away, so it would be pretty easy cut it down slightly. Also here is a shot of the figure in the box you cannot see the base it is under the foam but pushes up on the foam and makes the box fuller then it looks.
