    Athena Goddess Of War

Nicely done as always sir, that shield really looks good. Tough to paint a flat surface with a 3D look, but you made it happen, and in a great way.

WIP 19th Century American Whaler- 120mm Nist

Starting to get closer to the finish line. All the basics of the harpoon are in place, now to finish the hair, affix the buttons, add a shoulder, and clean things up. Looking forward to seeing this guy painted up by Steve! Cheers, Stephen

WIP 19th Century American Whaler- 120mm Nist

Here's another project I'm sculpting for my friend Steve Deyo to paint, a 19th century whaler with a harpoon. Very cool subject to research and create. Really enjoying making elements that show the wind moving them, like the hair so far and the scarf he'll have on. Just a Miniature Alliance head...

Christos, always enjoy your new works. Clean sculpting and good painting as well. Love that hat! Even a small detail like that adds tons of character.

WIP 13th Lancers At Balaklava- 120mm Bust

Here's the bust ready for paint. Will be trimming down a bit of the front band on the forage cap and of course adding the buttons when it's all painted. Just some putty to fill the gaps at the neck and it's time to paint. More soon. Cheers, Stephen

Really liking the 120mm bust series. Are y'all looking for anyone else to do any box art? I'm working on some one-off 120mm busts myself right now and am having a blast painting them. Let me know if it's something that might be a possibility. Cheers, Stephen

Thanks bud. I'll have pics of the finished version up soon I hope ;)

Need Advise - Glue Or Rod?

I'll second what Steve said. Pinning is always the answer with metal figures, and epoxy will form a super strong bond so you aren't having to worry as much about things coming apart.

Kaz, you're unstoppable, dude! Great work with just Tamiya figures...your brushes worked wonders on this old stuff!

WIP 13th Lancers At Balaklava- 120mm Bust

Thanks much Colin. You're right, should be 13th Light Dragoons, it was the 17th Lancers & 11th Hussars who rode into the valley. Appreciate the correction.

Very cool sculpting and painting as always, Stephen. Well-done indeed.

WIP 13th Lancers At Balaklava- 120mm Bust

Decided to re-paint the face on this one. Sometimes you just have one of those bad painting days, and now I am much happier with how it turned out. It has the life the first version was missing. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Stephen

    WIP The Terror

Pretty dark and creepy, but that's why it's awesome. Very good idea and I'm enjoying the painting of this guy.

WIP 13th Lancers At Balaklava- 120mm Bust

Thanks a lot guys. Nap, it's not based on anyone in particular, but I've referenced Roger Fenton's collection of photos from the Crimean War to get details right. No weapons, just the shell jacket, officers forage cap and the 'bunny coat' which was a locally made item made with skin and fur...
