WIP The Terror

As this is a sort of SBS thought I would post the progress through the stages especially since I am working with paints I have never really used
before "Tamiya" and also a lot of airbrushing again not a tool Im over ecstatic about but only as I get all sorts of problems with it.

So after the base coat of GWS Chaos Black I have applied a coat of Tamiya XF 69 nato black

I agree. It´s a bit macabre but very appropiate, certainly the revolutionary period has been knew as "The terror". I follow your progress.

Moving swiftly along
Here is the next couple of stages
Ran up thru a range of shades from XK 50Field blue XF 18 Med Blue XF 25 Sea Grey XF 20 Med grey XF 78 Deck tan (face only}
added some colour to the flag , with a bit of carless overspray I shall fix .

I will probably go in with a brush now and tweak things a bit .the blue on the flag needs some colour and maybe just a bit more white also .
Unsure whether to leave the Guillotine just black or do a dusting on it of maybe even Red

Your thoughts on this is most welcome and Criique.

Pretty dark and creepy, but that's why it's awesome. Very good idea and I'm enjoying the painting of this guy.

Could you manage almost a poor finish with an almost grey black then a wash of dark steel over that.
All the old steel (word used loosely) I have seen seemed to have a faint look of steel under the black, as id=f it was part of thye black if you know what I mean.

It was a very humane way of execution so they said 0.05 seconds and it was lichts oot but the brain lived for 2 minutes and could see what was happening apparently

Hi Guys this is a little work in progress
a sort of busterama ala Smudgerama

The Guillotine is made from Balsa ,the drum on the base is a thread bobbin and some wire
and the flag is magic sculpt and Duro the base is one of my own which was originally part of an order for a planeteer but didn't come up to scratch with the polish so sprayed it black and made a recovery

The Idea here is to do everything in a mono chrome setting to try and get the feel of the horror without any actual gore.

I thought you had breached the copyright laws and was just about to sue you for every penny you've not got, but on closer inspection i see that you've constructed the earlier version which was very prone to jamming halfway down. LOL.
Here's mine from many many moons ago.Look forward to seeing your bust progress.
