    Knight of the Blazing Sun

Looks like a fun piece. Did you sculpt individual strands of Kneadatite for the hair?

    Liquid masking agent advice needed.

The best protective coating I have ever used is called Spraylat and is used in sign making. I am not sure if you can get it in small quantities. I had a gallon I bought years ago. Perhaps if there is a sign painting shop near you you can get a small quantity. It dries a transparent blue color...

    Bow strings

I used a Badger hair for a bow from an old brush I had. No bending problem as the hair was flexible.

Vallejo paint mix for French Horizon Blue

Color charts are done by offset printing and matching to paint colors is an art. They should do like with house paint and provide paint chips. That is the only true representation. Didn't Humbrol do that once?

Vallejo paint mix for French Horizon Blue

I think the first is closest but a little too green, the middle three too grey and the last one too light. This is the color: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/btavis/horizon.jpg

Vallejo paint mix for French Horizon Blue

I am always amused by these discussions of uniform colors. I was watching a great series on the History Channel called "World War Two in Color" and no two uniforms in the field were the exactly the same color. Plus, any uniform new is not the same as one after a few months of being in country...

    chosin reservoir korea

If the clay-wax you are using is like Chavant you can smooth with D-Limonene or Goof-Off, lighter fluid, turpentine. Chavant recommends either De-Solv-it Citrus Solution or Avon Skin-So-Soft (Bath Oil). Most clay-wax sculptors also use a heat gun to soften the material. Here is a picture of how...

Euro militaire best of show pics

It appears to be a reflection off a half silvered mirror or piece of glass. You can see on the floor where it is angled at 45 degrees.

    Ground shadows

I have thought about this. You need a strong focused light source like a projector to produce a distinct, hard edge shadow. A really powerful flashlight could work. Ott lights are too diffuse. The opacity of the shadow is dependent on how direct the lighting source is you are trying to...

    need help.

The best thing is to go to a figure show and ask the modelers directly. At many USA figure shows models for sale are usually displayed with a red dot on the display card.

They have pre-cast body parts (heads, torsos, limbs, etc) but I don't think they are resin. In any case you can find what Historex has from this page and the subsequent ones...
