    Question about Crimson...

    You can highligh to a maximum with white if you want. The result will be pink as you said before. Then when all is very dry, you can use very thin layers of pure crimson very dilluted, as glazing. If you still think its pink, then lets dry again, and apply another glaze...... and so on and on...

    It does not work on canvas because oils paint is very thick. Here I paint very diluted, it dries quickly. I let it one or 2 days to completely dry. I've done that for years, and never had problèmes..... I have friends that have done that for longer than me : no problem.

    Its just because I like both acrylics and oils..... I can't really choose.... Until I really sit front of my desk ready to paint that I choose what paint I'll use :) If its oil, no problem. If its acrylics, I'd need a thin mate cote before starting to paint.
