    Completed Huron against Iroquis

Asyo...brilliant! Great stuff here! I must ask, and I apologize beforehand, but: what does "fully carved" mean...you actually carved it or scratchbulit it?

Completed Viking Ulfedhnar - "Never Retreat"

Yeah, really cool...it all comes together so well. Neat base...you are Mr Baseman...really beautiful painting here. Great presentation... BTW, at first glance, this could be taken for a mountain man. Except for the shield. Oh, and the sword. And chain mail. Never mind.

WIP A brief description of painting the face of Black Jack

And thanks for mentioning your use of Mr Hobby clear primer...I have since used it, and like it very much. Although their product prices are astronomically high....the products I've tried anyway, are top notch.

    WIP Baking Sculpey?

I've never used vaseline as a bonding agent...only as a smoother. I used to use lighter fluid, but I was getting a white reidue with the breakdown of the Sculpey; learn something new every day I guess. BTW, while on the subject,There is a new product which works fine (so far for me) called...

    WIP Baking Sculpey?

Vaseline is used for smoothing and can be used as a resist with Sculpey...just lay down a layer before you sculpt on your work surface and more to smooth down features and folds, etc, if you want, on the sculpted surface. It disappears when you bake it. You might be baking it at way to high a...

Completed Critique Kuan Yu 200 AD

Wow...far in.. Good to see that you went with the bright colors that would have been worn in reality...sometimes, the subdued tones that look so pleasing in the color harmony scheme chosen for figures are not what would have been worn, IMO. These look great and are of brilliant intensity...well...

    Help! Any info on....

Gordy, Well I didn't come up with it, but what Gary did as a source, is great! Just go to his provided link-- and ideas and projects come flowing in...can't get better than that!

    Help! Any info on....

Gary, Most excellent help...gracias, amigo! Not only a source for the Russian stuff, but some great inspiration for some other figures...way to go.

    Help! Any info on....

Thanks Gordy, we can always depend on you for some kind of help. I actually was on that page, and tried to follow up with the additional highlighted references by going there....there's plenty of prose on the battle of Sitka, but not a lot of illustrations; not on what the Russians wore anyway...

    Help! Any info on....

Thanks for the response Gary.... Yes, the Campaigns thing was cool, but I'm looking not to duplicate those references,,,,so I'm trying to take at least a different "uniform" approach. Something a wee bit, anyway. Zero out there....really sparse. I figure whoever wrote that article had to find...

WIP A brief description of painting the face of Black Jack

Wow! Something completely different....just goes to show yoy how many different ways there are to approach things...fascinating! Beautiful effect. Bravo. This is probably not a news flash and I missed it altogether initially....but this is Sean Connery from the "Molly MacGuires", is it not?

Yes, I do understand....very insightful, and I agree. That's the way it is, I guess, everywhere on the planet.
