    Milenko Acimovic in progress

A cricketer would be cool! Batsman or bowler? A vignette of wicket keeper, stumps and batter would be very cool. My Dad taught me a little about cricket, and I saw it on TV when living in the UK. Andy

    Airfix Multipose re-release

Cool!!!!! No more crazy pricing for those then, although those hoarding sets should sell them on eBay before the news gets out! Andy

Hi Mike! Welcome to the madhouse! Andy

    Andrea Miniatures

Ooooo!!! It looks like we all think Andrea is the McDonalds/Walmart of the figure world now! :o ;) They do have some nice stuff. The Pinocchio scene looks very well rendered, better than Elisena's from what I've seen in pictures. The lack of originality is sad though. Now Pegaso are...

    New Pegaso

That looks pretty cool. And I bet it comes with that nice stretch of bar. Definitely going on the wish list! Andy

    8th Regt. Cuirassiers Mounted Officer

Hi It looks great. What scale is the horse? Andy

    Andrea Miniatures

And the originality of crossbowman with a chicken is unbelievable! Deep deep deep sarcasm - see the First Guards Burgundian/War of the Roses figure... If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery we're seeing it here. Andy

    Polish Lancer

The figure looks great! The fleshtones are very nice. The leather parts of the trousers don't look 'leathery' enough to me. Too matt and uniform in color. Of course most of that is hidden by the horse, I bet. What are you going to do for the oilskin on the shako? I'm curious because I have a...

    Dutch Guard officer

Thanks guys. There is a faint demarcation between the leggings and breeches, but it needs popping up. I'm not much for outlining usually, but I think white screams for it. I used sepia along the line of buttons, and it looks pretty good. The straps around the leggings are a different shade of...

    Hassan Howard

I'd communicated with Hassan often over the years. Very sad news. Andy

    Dutch Guard officer

Hi Gary Yeah, the breeches are a mess. In part the casting isn't that smooth, but I used too much paint there. The coat is better. The good thing is that I painted the breeches before the jacket, so I got better at it... The only thing not in oils is the black part of his scabbard. And I see...

    Dutch Guard officer

I have finished the officer aside for a few touches. I need to do some work on the Bearskin and the various gold colored parts of the headgear. The photos were taken soon after I'd added some Payne's Grey highlights to the bearskin. The shininess has toned down a bit. All feedback welcomed...

Sculpting & Painting a Prussian Jager

    Digital photography - image sizing

Hi You can never get resolution back. So photograph at high res, then photomanipulate. You can always reduce size, dots per inch/cm etc., but once done, you can't go back. That's why digital zoom is a waste of time. It just blows up the picture pixel by pixel. Useless. Andy

    Question about painting a busby/bearskin

Arctic fox!! hmmph, what's the world coming to! Einion, you are the all-knowing one! Thanks for the help. I painted the highlights with Payne's Grey last night, and I hope to take pics today (sunny)! Cheers Andy

    SS panzergrenadier

Hey Pete! I was worried your camera had been washed away or something! Are you getting the bad rains down your way? I'm enjoying the SBS my mathematically inclined friend. I have lost all interest in WW2 Germans, but ya never know if it'll come back, there are few good ones in the grey army...
