Waterman For many many years the consevative member for Dover (South) attended every Scottish meeting in the House and pontificated on Scottish subjects on which he had neither intrest or reason to attend. Sadly passed now but he was always good for a laugh, although doing his democratic duty as...

That was in 1939 when BP made some land discoveries, but in 1851 Parafin Young began extracting shale oil in Scotland so I think you could say he was first. Lot of gas exploration in Southern Nort Sea with lots of gas being found, very little commercial oil. Scottish fields dicovered and...

Chippy Trump has thrown his rattle out of the pram and has gone home stating that his Granny was actually Irish. He will sadly for Ireland, go and bother them. This was because the SNP and the Scottish Government voted they were not to worried about his second golf course and hotel but were very...

    Still,,,alone in the dark.120mmUSAB,

Richie, its not a soldering wire but a soft engineering wire, no solder in it. Its mainly used for for finding the thickness of a bearing or finding a gap in parts. Simply put some into a bearing, tighten said bearing to working condition, strip it our and measure the wire. Very accurate...

    Still,,,alone in the dark.120mmUSAB,

Mike, amazing piece of work, I envy you your skill. For the boot laces can I suggest Engineers Lead Wire. Like fuse wire its available in various thicknesses meant for sizeing gaps. Mainly lead based, its quite soft so bends easily and would drape across the boots nicely. Don

Gerry I used the flooding as an example. During the last big floods the North got a hammering nothing much was done, this flooding Somerset got a terrible flooding on the levels. I think they had 600 Marines doing a super job but only for a day or two. Water came near London and the money and a...

    Scotland independence

Seems the North of England ( Newcastle, Sunderland, Manchester, Liverpool etc,) have been asking if they can come with us. Please remember Cameron only lifted a finger when Prince Charles told him to get his finger out and send troops to held the people who were flooded. Somerset levels were...
