Here is the finished Fighter Pilot all critique welcome ,all in oils as usual .
Tried to keep the face on the fresh side as these guys were well looked after :)
Pictures have a half stop difference as I was not sure which showed up best .
A little change dipping into World War Two for me.

Saw it on Sunday and it's a first class job (y)
The real beauty of this was the fact that Ron had stripped back the sometimes over complicated techniques that we all use.
He opted to keep it simple and with clever undercoating and careful and controlled lifting off the oil top coat to show the undercoat as a highlight he got a great result.
Cheers

This figure was the first 120mm I botched up as a teenager back in the 90s, so I've always liked it.

It's nice to see that with some brilliant painting, these old Verlinden figures can still hold their own today.
Lovely work, Ron. The leathers and reflective effect on his glasses are just superb.

Superb job by Ron (again) saw it in the flesh on sunday and its a cracker. So not like the old Verlinden's we all knew and loved, much much better.
Super work Ron

Brilliant work Ron,it just goes to show these verlinden figures can still hold their own on the figure front,as I said before the leather looks great as does the whole figure,i especially like the groundwork,id like to know your technique you used to create the ground (y)
