Your redone ground work looks really good. Thought the first pass was good, but that improvement makes it even better. Good start to the figures too. Happy modeling! (and other painting too :- )

69th New York State Volunteer Regiment, Irish Brigade

Wonderfully done! Don't usually see the mutton chop sideburns so that also makes it fun. Appreciated the write-up on the unit as well.

Wow, this is going to be a labor of love. Best wishes! One of the fun things about this hobby is that you learn a great deal when trying a new scale or genre.

    WIP Carlist Officer EVD 54mm

Looking good - appreciated the summary of the Carlist War. Was in Spain a number of years ago and picked up a finished figure from that conflict but didn't understand the background of the war

Wow, really enjoying seeing this figure come to life! Fantastic that members are chiming in on the uniform. Looking forward to seeing more!

    Completed Sharpe (Blast Model, 75mm)

Excellent paint job and weathering! I painted the Andrea version of Sharpe and it looked nothing like Sean Bean. Yours came out much better. I did not see the TV series, but read a number of the books. Please do not take these comments as against your execution. For the figure, the head does...

Great job on this figure! The details make it come to life - fantastic

Completed Dr Johnson (Phoenix Miniatures conversion - 1/32)

Amazing likeness to Reynold's portrait! Fun to do something completely different. I'm reading "The Club" about Johnson, Boswell and the luminaries around them - so especially enjoying seeing this piece. I confess I knew nothing about him before starting the book.

Great looking figure - I'd love to see the face. What type of paint did you use?

    '... battle weary...',Operation Konrad I, Szomor area, Hungary 1945

Incredible work! You really captured the feeling of dog-tired troops and the details you have included add so much to the feeling of the scene.

    Poste Militaire Miles Legionis

Wonderful figure and paint work. My eyes are drawn to the face and the shield and they both have a weary look of someone far from home. Well done.

Fantastic job and the work on the eye is tremendous

WIP Critique 28mm Dominique Jean Larrey

Nice work that came out really well. I'm impressed that you went with oils on such a small figure. Danilo Cartacci's book is a favorite one that I constantly return to. For future figures of this size, take a look at using washes for both the results and the speed. Base coat with acrylics, use...
