Hello guys, I finished this a while ago but couldn't be bothered to photograph him.

Poste Militaire, so of course, it was a joy to build. Face was awkward as it was inside the helmet, something I always struggle with. Most people would say I struggle anyway.

I agree with the points above. Really nice work and well done with the shield.
Interesting how different people experience their painting: I appreciate helmets (& beards) that restrict the visible flesh area, as I find they concentrate the shading and highlights to give a more pronounced finish of light & dark. I like the way he looks middle-aged, incidentally.
What scale?
Understandable about photographing the figure - the hardest part of any project by some distance!
 
Hello and thanks David. He's billed as 70mm which when it brought out, over 25 years ago, was quite unusual.

It varies between castings but in a helmeted face I often start off with the shadows and work towards the light in terms of the skin tones.

And yes, photographing figures is almost another hobby in and of itself!
