A Furore Normannorum Libera Nos, Domine

..ok great , also for my liking, i would not highlight the fur with pure white , but with a "dirty" white and would use the pure white only with the silver as said...and only in some spots where you think the light has to hit the fur..

A Furore Normannorum Libera Nos, Domine

Steve, when the fur is ready for the extremely highlights in some spots of the figure you can try with a light amount of a mix 4-5 part of white ( titanium white oil ) and one part of chrome silver Testor enamel . Pay attention the colour has to stay only on the surface of the fur and try to...

A Furore Normannorum Libera Nos, Domine

You are doing good Steve , and the metals are very nice, i also use enamels very often for metals , there is though an acrylic stuff , absolutely great especially to cover the resin figures , this is Maimeri silver acrylic , it has a really beautiful silver and it dries quickly, i can only...

Harold Ii The Last English King

Hi Steve, this is in fact a one handed axe ..and if you look carefully at the haft is larger in proportion of the two handed axe of the sculpt which has to weigh more than that light axe of the photo ..;) anyway as i said this is the only fault IMO on this very nice bust. cheers

Harold Ii The Last English King

Hi Steve, undoubtely they were made for cutting and were very light but from what i read usually the average weight of a two handed axe was around 4 lbs ( head without haft ) , but examples of more of 6 lbs are common , the average weight of moreless 2 lbs normally is for single handed axe . I...

Harold Ii The Last English King

i also think the haft of the axe is too thin , the two handed axes were used by the infantrymen as main weapon against the cavalry ( you can see warriors with the two handed axe during the battle of Hastings on the Bayeux Tapestry ) . A haft so thin with a 4-6 lbs weight axe would have been...
