I started do the hobby in 1970's and the reason was I needed something to keep on my mind on something other than work and anyway I thought it would be great to come with an award which was not happen yet just merit awards for trying my best .
I do have Greek and Roman figures but I still find them difficult to paint because of there shields and doing the research is wonderful because I am of the Met Museum of Art in New York City .
I am having a hard time trying to figure out if should do for next year MFCA show because I have books for both periods so should I do one figure from both periods of history instead of just doing one figure well what would you do ?
I can not order this figure mainly because I already own too much to begin with it and second thing I could not complete with the painting studios of Europe so let them have their fun with this figure.
I know this an excuse but it is true the first thing I have to do is clean up the work area before I do anything ok mainly because I live in an apartment and right now it is a mess .
maybe I will because I have most of a series of figures based The Game of Thrones from Dark Sword Miniatures and their twist on Robin Hood - all animals except no Prince John yet .
but I am doing figures for competitions and for myself but I have seen judges ignored figure because of their scale 28 mm and not for the work that was done just for the fact that they did not see what was really good about them.
The main for this is the fact that I have noticed that both fantasy and sci- fi figures are not serious at all even when the artist has worked for months so why do they do this and should I give-up completely on doing both fantasy and sci-fi figures because I did start with a fantasy figure in 1973.
