airfix-grenadier 54mm-head?

I am working on a old figure kit but I would like to change the head for something does anybody know where I can find one for this figure at all?

Hornet do 54mm heads, but you have to swap the headgear.

Historex have 54mm head sets with various headwear or bare-headed, with appropriate facial hair etc. Depends, I think, on whose side your grenadier is on.

the hornet 54mm heads go well with the airfix kits the historex ones are a bit hit and miss size wise

as far as I know hornet never made Napoleonic heads at all.

the Hornet 54mm heads are 'bare heads' so you would need to add the Napoleonic headgear (and maybe sculpt some facial hair etc).

just for the record the airfix british grendier is 1776 if that's the one in question so it's not napoleonic

I for one would like to know what you've done and how you've done it.I think you're doing the French grenadier a pied but you haven't said.The Airfix 54mm figures were what got me fascinated with the whole modelling and history areas in the first place and I'd love to see what you've made with your conversion.

Sorry I can't show you any step by step photos but you may wish to see this albeit unfinsihed airfix grenadier
The collar. Was hollowed out. A hornet head superglued inplace, the bearskin is glued together then hollowed out, the wig and pony tail removed and glued to the bare head and sideburns added from duro.
The bearskin having been retextured was then glued to the resin head at a slight tilt and the tasseled floundrers so they hang naturally away from the bonnet.
Finally the earings were added and the figure painted. Cross straps still have to be added and the cords to be painted mixed red and gold as per his rank

I've been out all day in Stoke on Trent Moorlands model show..
So I couldn't reply straight away.
I've been demonsrating the sme chop swap glu and fill technique but with
Mini-art 1/16th scale mounted Napoleonics !
