Awww poor horsie! But very well done and I agree the head over the edge really adds a lot of depth to the piece. Great job! Cheers, Karrie

Well rats! I thought I responded to this. That's what I get for trying to use my phone instead of the computer. lol! Gordy, you rock man! Thank you! I'm sure the poor folks here are ready to strangle me if I post another pic of his eye. lol! Well, horsie's face has been painted and re-sealed...

WHEW! This eyeball is going to be the death of me yet! First it was painting it, then repairing it, and now it's painting it again! ARGH! lol! I had an email discussion with a friend about painting eyeballs. He's very good at it but all of the creatures he had painted had round pupils. I...

Completed Grand Master of Teutonic Order. Second half XIII century 54 mm.

This is really nice! I really like the softness of the surcoat and the banner. It looks like real cloth. The armor is also well done. Great job!

Thanks, Keith! And you ain't kidding! I'm gonna watch this baby like a hawk from now on. I really don't want to have to do that again (although it is good to find out what you can do when you need to). I'm just very happy to have a pony again and can move forward now. :D Thanks again...

    WIP Critique Pegaso Roaming Knight

Thanks gordy! :D I honestly don't know and I doubt if I'll ever really know. It still comes down to my best guess that I put in a previous post. I had the body resting on the towel and must have accidentally let the head rest on the switch plate part of my OttLite and the mane was close to...

    Painting Pegaso Knight

You make that look so easy! I would have siliconed six different things to the table, lost four parts for every one I tried to remake, and if I did manage to get to the soldering part, I would have burned the house down...or at least a big hole in the floor. ;) Excellent work!

    WIP Critique Pegaso Roaming Knight

It's a conspiracy I tell ya! Photobucket wigs, Picasa wigged, and finally Chrome freaked out. So trying IE really quick hopefully just long enough to attach photos and go. I've worked too damn hard and stayed up too damn late to let computer issues stop me. We've got paint! You'll have to...

IMG intensive Well, One-Eye can actually see again. I can't call him Old Blue yet like before, but hopefully soon. I'm really sorry this is so pic heavy but the more people I have looking at this for stuff I missed, the better. Okay about three hours worth of work this afternoon. When it...

Scraping paint or scraping frisket - which is easier?

Ah now that makes more sense. Here I was trying to be all neat and tidy and apply a nice little thin layer - or two. So that is what shot me in the foot. :D Thank you, Einon! For the little ball, I did read something about that when I did a general internet search trying to get this stuff...

Scraping paint or scraping frisket - which is easier?

Good idea! I didn't even think about that - was dreading the trip to Walmart that I'm going to have to make soon UGH! But I can stop at the dollar store on the way home. Of course, now that I'm actively looking for it....well, you know how that goes. ;) I do have Goo Gone here - that stuff...

    Completed Critique Murat a Eylau

I think the finishwork is absolutely beautiful but I also agree with you, Paul. I've been trying to define my thoughts on the matter. I found it unusual that the horse is appears to be an Andalusian wearing a traditional braid and performing a canter pirouette. For the historical period, the...

    WIP Critique Pegaso Roaming Knight

Maybe...just maybe...I won't need that head. I'm thinking my repairs, which I continued just because it is good practice, might actually work....maybe. I had to put paint on the eye to help me see what it was doing. Yes, I still have a lot of work to do, but I think it might be...

Scraping paint or scraping frisket - which is easier?

Okay, just to document, the stuff I have is Incredible White Mask: Liquid Frisket. For use with all water based mediums. Use on paper, glass, wood, leather, metal and ceramics. Basically it contains ammonia and latex. This is the regular plain ole stuff that's absolute murder to get off. lol...

Scraping paint or scraping frisket - which is easier?

Thank you Tommi and Carl! Getting Humbrol here is a bit of a trick. Squadron is in Texas so I always try there first because they have a lot of UK vendors. Unfortunately, the one item I want is the one thing they don't have most of the time. But the Bluetac I can do. :D lol! I might just...

Scraping paint or scraping frisket - which is easier?

Okay, the search function and I are not getting along. I must be using the wrong terminology. In the past, (before the hand tremors) the figures I painted were small gaming miniatures so i always assembled before painting. Now with the larger figures, before assembly, I spotted areas that...
