Really nice sculpting. Might work my way through all the cryptography regarding what regiment and lacing and stripes and colours and seams and drums and chevrons and regimental numbers and spacing so and...................maybe I'll just spend my time painting instead. G
That's War Daddy done.
Really good piece to paint.
Still amazed that Pavol can sculpt such realistic similarities in these busts.
See what you think,

Some more work done on the face.
The herring bone pattern doesn't work great but I gave it a go just to try it.
I found the face came together more after applying the inks.

Hi Monty, thanks mate.
I used the life colour flesh set but just used the base and lights. They're really good to work with. I used scale 75 arabic shadow, blue, a dark brown and inks also.

Just started this excellent bust sculpted by Offo.
First time using Life Colour paints which are slightly satin.
I will now try and use glazes and inks to bring more contrasts and colour variations and hopefully smooth out transitions.
See what you think.

The sabre is mr. models aluminium and steel.
The front plate is dark star but I cant remember the colour. Then washed with tamiya smoke for the gloss.
Cheers,
