Nearly finished the face and helmet... I've purchased some lovely Type 24 grenades from Steve over at Reedees and will be looking to incorporate at least one into the pose. I may have to purchase his K98 too looking at the photo above... ;)

Word has it that the microsoft x box/kinect system has been 'hacked' to permit 3d scanning with really good results. Maybe that is the way ahead getting weapons etc scanned?

Rompy; I've been working on that issue for a while now (in my head) and I plan to do a bit of carving and re-sculpting to try and correct it.

Thank you, but the sculpting is all Mr Young's work. All I have done is take the top off the head and worked on adding the SA Kepi. (y)

A quick update: Chin strap completed as per advice kindly offered on this veritable forum (thank you, gents!) The eagle is shaped plasticard. I've airbrushed some basic colours in to see how it all tones up....Still a ways to go.

Quick Update: I scratched an infantry assualt badge in lieu of the wound badge. The K98 pouches a re scratch-builds using a plasticard master and then moulding them in baking foil lined blu-tack and pouring in layers of thin super glue sprayed with zapper superglue activator. Bend the blue tack...

Looking For 1/9 or 1/10 bust WW2 British Officer. Do any of my fellow pF folk know of such a beast?
