    Another German.

This guy has been sitting in the drawer for at least a decade. Pretty much done, but I'm sure I'll go back for some touchups once I see him posted here at about 300% size. 1/35th from I think now defunct New World Order.

Wow, that's a real compliment! Shep Paine had a great influence on me.

Thanks Nap. Yes, let me remove that thread from his lower lip first. LOL! These big pics are scary! Way bigger than I can actually see with my Optivisor.

    US Army Medic

Haven't picked up a brush in a couple of years. As my re-intro into the hobby again, decided to finish off one of the many projects which have been collecting dust on my bench for years. This is based on an old Tamiya figure, with Hornet head, lot's of putty details, putty twin medical pack and...

BILL HORAN - Post your favourite's here

Is it just me? Or does the wounded officer resemble Bill Horan? That's the first thing I thought when I saw this piece in person at the MMSI show last week.

BILL HORAN - Post your favourite's here

You are correct. Yes, there are better individual painters. Yes there are better individual sculptors. But no one combines the two and makes them come alive like Bill Horan.

BILL HORAN - Post your favourite's here

Top right, "Casualty of War" was the first Bill Horan piece I had ever seen in the flesh, in the '90's. I stared at it for at least 30 minutes. I thought, what kind of sorcery is this!?!!?? There are many talented figurists, but Bill is the master!

Very nice! I ordered this figure a few weeks ago. Did you add the bayonet? I didn't see one in the kit.

    Pontic militia, 1919.

Very nice! And interesting subject matter! The Pontic Greeks fought hard to save themselves, their Christian faith and their homes, but in the end they were overwhelmed by the Turks who took their land and massacred them. Whoever was left, fled to mainland Greece.
