Thx Steve. Actually, I use the same resin as I do for my smaller stuff. Potlife is 3 minutes. Long enough though, those lifesize moulds become heavy to handle after a while:)

Thx, guys. I needed a fast paintjob and my daughters chose a pirate as subject. I didn't want to go to far in realism :) I will ad some accessories later. I'm working on a second one, more zombie-like, but it's not going to be finished quickly.

Making lifesize moulds takes a lot of time, but here's the first resin casting. Next: Painting!

Thanks, guys;) @Colin: Like the Predator head, I won't bake this piece. I'll make a silicone mould while it's still soft. True, the master won't survive, but it will have served it's purpose. I need a resin casting for painting anyway.

While working on my 1/1 Predator moulds, killing the dead moments so to speak, I started this 1/1 scale sculpt. Again I use polymer clay like Fimo and Super Sculpey. As a starting point I used a foam head, wich I carved out here and there and covered with epoxy to become a smooth surface. This...

Because I've had little time to continue the paint test, I passed the head to my best friend Patrick Ceunen from Patmodelkits. I think he did an outstanding job here. This wall version should've been finished, but I had some issues with to heavy dreadlocks. I'm working on that problem now.
