    Lemmy RIP

This year they played a festival in Toronto... it was the first Motorhead show I missed since the Ace of Spades tour in '81. My son was there though, and was amazed that a 70 year old man could rock like that! There will never be another character in the rock world like Lemmy Kilmister... ever...

Love this piece Steve... great work!!! Don't know how I missed this post... wish I had seen it in person. Awesome job! BTW is this piece still in production? I'd love to take a swing at this... I am always in a Viking mood! Colin

WIP Critique Queen's Rangers, FeR Mini, Sword&Brush fig

Thank you gentleman, hope you all had a good Xmas... I'm just glad it's over. Twenty of my wife's family packed into my house for dinner yesterday is quite enough thank you. After today's shift at work I'm off until Jan 4 so I plan to get this one finished this week... now that the chaos is...

Looking good Steve, I think your pics don't do your piece justice. I am of the understanding that the Union blue is so dark as to almost be black. Painting that damn near black blue is a bitch... to realistic and it makes for a drab, dark figure while super high contrast can sometimes take away...

Thanx for the kind words gentlemen... Colin, I treated the green like I do blue... as we have discussed umpteen times, I'd much rather use lows than highs to create the impression of depth. All the best to you and the tribe, see you in the new year, brother! Zeno, the green is done with...

WIP Critique Brothers in Arms 1870

Thanx Zeno and Steve The reds don't bother me near as much as the whites... I'm not too mad at the pantaloons on the wounded fella but I had a bitch of a time with the gaiters on both figs. I'm gonna have to go back and do them again I think. I'll be back at them soon enough Colin

WIP Critique Brothers in Arms 1870

Hey all I'd been working on this pair through November and have at the moment put it aside for another piece as I found myself getting very frustrated. The piece is a 75mm pair of French Zouaves during the Franco-Prussian War, sculpted by Moz for Ellies Miniatures. I don't know why but I've...

WIP Critique Queen's Rangers, FeR Mini, Sword&Brush fig

Hey all Been awhile since I've posted... not because I haven't done anything but because I haven't been happy with what I've done. I put everything else up once I got this fig and dug into it. Here's where I'm at so far... The fig is from FeR Miniatures and is the commemorative fig for the first...

"Better than that old construction/electrician gig." Wow, Steve-o, that really hurts... being an old electrician myself. I started my electrical apprenticeship exactly 2 weeks after my last day in high school... This year in fact was my thirtieth anniversary in the trade. For the most part, I...
