Great start! I'll be interested to see how acrylics over oils works for you. Oils typically take longer to not just dry, but cure, than acrylics, which can lead to cracking and - possibly - looong times to set. That's why I generally use oils over acrylics. Good luck! :)

Are the helmet pieces separate from the head? I have a similar bust where the helmet and head are 1-piece; makes the face more difficult to paint, at least for me.
