Hey, all - I don't know what I'm doing, so I'm using the best words I can think up. :) I'm planning to try oil paints on acrylic base; how long should I let the oil paint dabs sit on cardboard to wick off the excess oil? Is a couple of hours enough? Overnight? TIA for any help!

Ok. You talked me into it. I'll try painting the patches. I mean, what's the worst that can happen? I strip it off and start over? It's a hobby, right? ;) Seriously, though, the thought of those 48 itty-bitty stars leaves me a bit cold. Any hints/tips on how to do those in this scale?
