    WIP Critique Scandinavian warrior wip

I see nothing wrong with your efforts. Maybe you're just being a bit hard on yourself. The face on your figure is as well done as any commercial release. This figure shows a lot of promise.

    STRANGE LOVE (Andrea Miniatures)

Nice sculpture. A shame Andrea does not give it's sculptor proper credit.

    My first workbench...

Jacob, You may want to start with a head from Hornet or a spare from a kit. Try to come up eith something where a head is already available. Over time you can work on converting a head and over time doing one from scratch. You may want to buy an armature set or try making a roughed in torso and...

    Completed Critique The Iron Brigade

With the exceptions of the hat being pinned up on the Wrong side (typically infantry was pinned up on the left side ) and the buttons on the collar ( based on a reenactor? ) it's a very well done sculpt.

    Recent relief sculptures

Giving some attention to this blog is long overdue. With the exception of the odd figure or bust recent sculpting projects have all been miniature relief sculptures. Most of my relief sculptures have been donations for the Artist Preservation Group. These funds help continue the mission of the...

WIP Critique New bust - Francois Fournier Sarlovese

Colin, That's right. Scott could not believe that for that price tag that the costume house retained ownership of the costumes. It doesn't get any better than that. I wonder how many other productions those costumes may have ended up in.

WIP Critique New bust - Francois Fournier Sarlovese

I understand that the costuming for the two principle actors was valued at $77,000. Amazing considering that was in 1977!
