What you're attempting to do is very difficult. You're going about it the right way though. Keep letting us see your progress. Never be afraid to ask anybody on here (y)

Jacob, a big welcome and good on you.
I started small and as they say, take each step at a time.
I congratulate you on the fact you posted, I think you will now find people following you.
I can honestly say, keep posting, keep asking. There are no secrets and we welcome the new people like yourself.
Best wishes mate.
My only advice to sculpting is get used to anatomy and features, in all scales.
I have a block of clay that when I get an idea I build a face or arms etc.
It just gets you used to bringing an image to reality, and also many starts never finish as your skills progress.
Thanks and please stick around, we need guys like you

Hello again !

My plan with conversion was failed  and I don't know what I suposed to do , what I sculpt first...

Jacob, You may want to start with a head from Hornet or a spare from a kit. Try to come up eith something where a head is already available. Over time you can work on converting a head and over time doing one from scratch. You may want to buy an armature set or try making a roughed in torso and pelvis shape from putty. This will give you the basic foundation from which to build a figure.

I agree with Gary. You've started by trying the hardest thing first. It's good advice to start by using manufactured heads and sculpt the overall form first, building detail over it. As you get better, you can work for more details and finally trying to do a face from scratch.

Work into it slowly or you are in danger of getting frustrated or overwhelmed and might give up... You don't want that.

Keep trying and keep posting

Colin

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your's advices :) So , I jumped to my model boxes and I found frames with german soldiers in 1/35 scale from Tamyia kit Pzkpfw II F/G .

Jacob,

good work on persisting!!!
I am not familiar with the Polish uniform, however, the blanket roll on the top of the back pack, if you get some masking tape, cut it to the right width, then you have the start of a strap.

This will help with the details.
The only other thing would be to scribe (lightly) around the cuffs on the wrist, just to add a sharpness to the wrists. (this is a limit of moulding)

Please continue and share more of your in progress work!

Cheers

Jamie
