    BENEITO 5TH NEW YORK VOLUNTEERS

Not too bad. The knapsack is the weakest part of the kit. It's not that great of an interpretation of a double bag knapsack.

    Completed George Washington

The uniform in the picture is from a period that is later than the revolution.

    British 40th Foot

A tree or portion of fence line might enhance things a bit. The figure is far from what a lot would when it comes to a Revolutionary War British soldier. A parade ground look is not very practical in addition to throwing in the efforts it would take to maintain that appearance. For those that...

    Completed George Washington

Take the buttons off the turnbacks. If you are depicting Washington during the American Revolution the stand-up collar also needs to be changed. The coat you made looks to be based on a coat made for Washington in 1789. A flattened lay down type collar would be more correct for the period. Just...

News!! New Jeff Shiu figure in 75MM Colour-sergeant, 93rd Highlanders, 1854-56",

I agree with the others. The rifle is a little large for the figure.

    Confederate infantryman 1863 bust

Nice painting. I also like that you made the effort to add buttons to the shoulder straps that the sculptor left off.

Historical Sculptor Ron Tunison has passed away

I read on Facebook that Ron Tunison has passed away. Ron has appeared at several miniature shows over the years. Ron's credits incluse three monuments at Gettysburg National Military Park ( four if you include the Elizabeth Thorn sculpture at the Evergreen Cemetery. There is also the Irish...

Open Book 8th Pennsylvania Cavalry 89th Regiment Pennsylvanian Volunteers, Battle of Chancellorsville May 1863

1/32 would have been a better scale. Oh well, I'd like to have a look at them anyway.

75mm American war of Independance officer 1778

Nice figure. However, standing coat collars did not appear until the early 1790's. A little outside of the scope of the AWI. A number portraits of famous military personalities of the AWI period we painter AFTER the war had ended. Unfortunately I think they are mistaken as wartime uniforms.

    Sir John French

Try very fine steel wool to smooth out the rough spots/ tool marks. Afterward run some water over the figure and use a soft bristle toothbrush to clean whatever loose particles of steel wool are on the figure. It's a bit messy but it does the job.

    Printing Name Plates

It's an older printer. An HP Deskjet F4240. Any desktop printer should do. You should be able to purchase the acetate from a Office max, Staples, etc. It should be with specialtiy type papers for printers like adhesive/sticker type paper, or iron on transfer papers etc.
