75mm American war of Independance officer 1778

Hi All this is the new release from Ellie's Miniatures it's a 75mm AWI Officer 1778. it was sculpted by Adam McMasters.

The figure will be ready to ship in about a week or so, it's now with the caster the price is £28.50 Plus P&P

Hi Steve My Daughter Ellie took the photo's just before we sent it off for casting. we have others will try and find a better one but they are all about the same. will have a better one when we have him back from casting.

Nice figure. However, standing coat collars did not appear until the early 1790's. A little outside of the scope of the AWI. A number portraits of famous military personalities of the AWI period we painter AFTER the war had ended. Unfortunately I think they are mistaken as wartime uniforms.

Thanks for the heads up on that, might have to maybe rethink the date. I know Adam worked from some Plates so he thought as well as me that the info was good. but thanks for the info.

Jeez - the figure is certainly class, but in the photo, because you recognized even with a stick figure more!

He's not done yet either as you can see he is stick tacked together and still missing some buttons; looks to be a nice figure though.

Hi Guys and thank you for the comments, Yes I know the photo not good but as said will post better ones when we have him back. as to the buttons the turn backs on the coat are part unbuttoned as you will see if you look closely you will see that the buttons are just showing under the turn backs.

Lapels you mean Ian. Yes I see them now. I have never seen a coat worn like the before.

Thanks Ian - no critique from me. I just haven't seen it in paintings. I thought that in some cases the lapels in some armies were false and decorative....I am thinking Napoleonics here.
