The stripes are freehand Jason, as Blind Pew mentions earlier in the thread the way to approach the corduroy pants is the biggest consideration on this figure. Adrian, I started with a dark base and painted the stripes as highlight, much easier for me that way. Getting the first stripe correct...

Thanks Steve :) Yes I will be bringing it to Euro. It's the metal version which I picked up from El Greco at last years Euro. Never managed to get my hands on the resin one but the detail and casting on this one is great. Resin normally looks sharper than white metal in it's bare form because...

Finished off yesterday. I really enjoyed painting this, it's such a great sculpt. All done using a combination of Jo Sonja's, Scale 75 and Vallejo acrylics.

Here's today's work. More on the corduroy, tunic and some touches to the face. Happy day's painting. I made the choice to ever so slightly widen the cord stripes on the right leg as they are under less tension than the forward left leg in an effort to simulate the texture of corduroy and move...

Yes definitely a big consideration for me, painting the corduroy. Difficult to not make it look like pin-stripes and to achieve the right level of subtlety. Will be working on this today so we'll see how it turns out! Alex.

Started a new 54mm, the Latorre sculpted Camel Guards Officer. The face has been started this time using Scale 75 paints (eager to try them out after receiving them for a birthday present). More to follow, quite soon probably. Thanks for looking Alex.
