Wow ...... that is nothing short of brilliant.
I love EVERYTHING about this. If I had a copy of the bust I'd be starting work on it right now.
Inspirational as always (y)
Cheers
Derek
Many thanks Del for your kind comments and support,I'm really glad you liked it mate,it's a super bust and one I would highly recommend it if you can get hold of one

Fantastic work!
There is just 1 point that could be improved (IMHO):
The pennant flaunts in a very rigid way, almost horizontaly and in parallel to the arm, so these two horizontal lines tend t0 create a sense of calm, bringing a feeling of peace & stability to the image. I think that changing just a little the direction of the flag you would achieve an even more dramatic scene. Anyway, a terrific work just as it is. Congratulations, Love it!

Gerard
Many thanks Gerard for your kind comments, because I made the flag out of brass and lead foil I'm very reluctant to alter it as I don't want the foil and brass to separate, but it's definitely something I can take on board for future projects.

Well worth the second visit . Sometimes leaving something until we are ready to handle it pays of and here you have proved the point and excelled . A great piece and the added extras make it more so .
chippy
Many thanks chippy for the kind comments,I never thought I would ever get round to painting it again, but it's turned out better than I first planned

Hi Brian,
Excellent transformation with the painting, weathering and additions, if you compare yours to the original (box art?), it's like the world cup winners versus Sunday league. Just love the way you portray a soldier in the field.
cheers

Many thanks Richie for those kind words,I'm not sure my work has ever been compared to a World Cup winning side, but I'm very flattered you think that,it was a great project from start to finish and the weathering is something I really enjoy doing with all my works
