I know of some people that higly recommend Winsor & Newton inks. You probably need to dilute them a bit. They are supposed to dry fairly quick and leave a satin finish. I haven't used them myself though.
Just use an old toothbrush / old brush with bristles, you only need a few drops/ millilitres. It might be a good idea NOT to smoke while stripping the mini :)
It looks great. The shading of the skin might be a bit too dark for me, but otherwise I like it very much. I especially like the faded look of the black/ grey cloth and the beaten shield.
Did you use oil colors or acrylics?

It would be great if someone would know a brand that might be an equivalent to these colors but which are aavailable in europe/ germany . Reading about them make me quite curious :)

It is from Historic Art, 54 mm.
It looks easy and straightforward enough to act as a perfect learning figure.
