Were you tempted to do a pattern on the cloak? I wanted to but felt a bit intimidated by the expanse of fabric.

Stunning. The textures on the fabric, the colours in the face, everything is top class.

here it is with the base, the greens and the browns. Just the blacks to add then a once over with washes to harmonize everything. Ill probably go with the RM head and have it as a member of the M&AW cadre (as Ive been watching Behind the Lines again on the BBC iplayer).

If you run short of inspiration have a read (or listen) to Harrier 809 by Rowland White. That started my current interest in all things Falklands.

Im just finishing this one off. Its been on the bench for ages but have added the last of the camo, painted a head and helmet and need to just do names, badges etc. ( for a splash of colour as well as setting it firmly within a context). The plan is to have him stood by a map or planning board...
