hello Planeters :)

a very good friend of mine bought this figure a couple of years ago, thinking it was a painted collector object, when he got it he realized that ... it was not painted hahahaha. at least he didn't throw it in the garbage. while discussing together some weeks ago he asked me if i felt "IN" for painting it for him ... what couldn't i do for a friend ?

so here it is : my take on this great bust from young miniatures, so many little details everywhere !

I won't get into historical correctness ... afterall nobody can ! I just enjoyed painting this Templar in all his glory.

this piece is now in its new home with a very happy friend looking at it :)

interestingly, everybody around me is saying that, while it looks like Sean Connery, there'S a total likeness with ... me :D

as usual, painted all in acrylics, and no airbrush involved.

Always wanted to do this one. Excellent painting. I'm sure your friend is very pleased.

Not my era of interest but these busts are superb and you have done a Stirling job in painting it for your friend, I bet he is very pleased.
Excellent painting and full of life, very nice.
