Thanks, guys. The photo box my wife bought me last year has helped my pictures, I think. The pic on the second set I posted on the top right of the Polish General Pulaski was taken before I started using the light box and the others are after. It really helps diffuse the light. Matt

Thanks! The flesh base mix is made from (all Vallejo): Cork Brown + Dark Orange + Basic Skintone + Dark Red + a small bit of Flat Blue. I add more Basic Skintone to the base for highlights. Matt

Just started painting the boxart for a future Michael Miniatures bust. This one is Czar Nicholas in 1/9th scale. It's a bit larger size which will demand even smoother transitions. Just starting the face with the first couple of highlighting steps done so far. Much to do.... More...

Here is another update on Santa Ana. I've started the epaulettes from two round discs of sheet plastic with putty underneath to support the fringe detail that will be added later. I've also lowered the hairline a touch and done some work to the mouth area that I now like a bit better. Of course...
