    Acrylics Old Rose (pink)

A bit late, but thank you all for the hints and tips. I eventually chose to make a mix for cadmiumred and prussian blue and mix that with the basecolor. Although the grey was a nice shadowcolor, It didn't feel comfortable when I had to make new mixes. It was harder to get the exact color again...

    Acrylics Old Rose (pink)

Small question, I want to paint a jacket in this color. I already made a mix with some Vallejo Old Rose, Basic Skintone and White. But I don't know what to use to make a shade. I tried bluegreen, dark green, more blue-ish tones but the color shifts to these colors. So that's not it. After...

Review Painting Miniatures By Danilo Cartacci

Final thoughts: This book is not THE answer on how to paint figures. Like I started this review: It's Danilo's answer on the question "How I paint figures". Which means what works for him doesn't necessarily works for you. But this book covers all the things you need to know about historical...

Review Static Model Manual Sbs Painting Figures By Auriga Publishing

Final thoughts: There are a lot of books on the market about figure painting and none of them are "bad". But most of the books I own don't show how figure painting is exactly done. The techniques are mentioned only in text or only by photograph. So most of the time you still have to figure out...
