This is one of the few places where everyone will get the joke

Gerard, you just made my day. I'm a huge fan of The Young Ones, so seeing them in a new (to me) venue is pretty cool. When did that show run?

    Sculpture in motion...

Didn't know where to put this, so I stuck it here. My sons and I battle RC tanks as a hobby, so I decided my new project needed a special driver. Paying homage to a favorite model kit from my youth, Rommel's Rod, I present 'Rommel's Kettenkrad'. The anatomically correct radius and ulna...

Sculpting...Skill, talent, practice or all of them?

If you can draw, you can sculpt. Some skill will be natural talent absolutely, but skill can be learned as well. Sculpting is a bit more scientific than drawing, but if you amass enough information, observation and patience everyone should be able to render a reasonably accurate figure. If you...

    Anyone using an airbrush?

As stated, you get what you pay for. If it's something you plan on using a lot, buy the best you can reasonable afford. There's nothing worse than struggling with bad equipment when doing something that's supposed to be enjoyable. You can't go wrong with Iwata. I'm still using my first (nearly...

Something we all need to see...

Yikes. That's borderline obsessive. Amazing work. Superb PE work as well painting. Everything is so clean and crisp. This man has serious patience, equipment and skill. I don't know whether to be inspired or dejected. ;)

    Help please!!!

Urethane resins have a heat deflection rating. It's the point where they will become malleable. It's rated as to protect from damage but that info could also be used for your needs. I can't speak for any other resins than what I use (even different formulas in the same product line will vary)...

WIP Any secret or easy way to do this? Helmet net in 1/9

I think the most convincing recreation is to use the same method and material, just scaled down. If making a net, whether rope or wire, use the same. It shouldn't take too long to make a simple frame (or loom as you said) and lay out the pattern.
