    WIP Arnhem

Hi All, A bit more work done on Sandy, done the base, badge and laid down the camo on the jump smock. Will let the base dry and harden up before resuming painting. Did manage to snap the end of the sten off so got that to fix also. Cheers Richie

Hi All, This is Sandy to date after a couple of painting sessions. I had to remove the chin strap to get at the face properly. I thought with so much discussion in the past about scales and someone wanted a copy of Sandy to go with a 120mm figure, well this is the comparison. 1/16 C.S.M...

Hi Nap, Thank you, I'm chomping at the bit to start that Oosterbeek project but must get the other vignettes finished. Yeah I'm really pleased I got that figure done and another one coming along to go with him. cheers Richie

Hi mate, Thank you, yes it's turning into a big project but loving it. I saw your post with the Para's and drop cannister, very nice I thought about ordering one but I've got far too much going on at the minute and would want to start it. cheers Richie

Hi Neil, Thank you, I was really impressed with some of the detail especially on the sten gun. I was like a kid at Christmas yesterday, ended up starting to paint the face on him only hours after being cast and undercoated. cheers Richie

Hi Simon, Thank you, it has always been the figure for me personally. Cheers Richie P.S. Just found out the the second figure from the right in the iconic photo married a lass from Hartlepool and his son still lives in the town. That's two families from here who had fathers who fought at Arnhem.

Hi Simon, Nigel & Nap, Thank you so much. Hi All, When I think of Arnhem the most stand out figure for me has always been Sandy Cortmann from the iconic photo. This is my 1/16 scale version I have lashed together after getting the moulds ready yesterday. Would like to thank Ariel and Mark for...

    WIP Arnhem

Hi All, Sorry it's been a while but work got in the way. Other than sticking this to a base and painting three rifles it is finished. I have also been working on the hand to hand piece and Death Comes to Onderlands, as well as amassing some bits for the Oosterbeek diorama. I have also made some...

The Guardian of The River........Dolman Miniatures

Hi Eduardo, I did not realise my questions were too technical for you, well here you go. A fletching is feather attatched to the arrow in order to stabilise the flight! Yes I have had problems with archers in the past, but you still have not answered the questions either for the above or the...

The Guardian of The River........Dolman Miniatures

This was pointed out by someone else to me....why only 2 fletching's on the arrows? and is there correct clearance from the body in order to string the bow! I have had this problem with other figures of this type. Once you try and string the bow it clashes with the body parts.

Looking for Soviet 1/16 or 120 mm stuff

Hi Adrian, Yes the difference will be very noticeable as you said. The only other option if your heart is set on a maxim is contact the supplier who does the 3d prints and see if you can get a custom size print. The only other company I remember off the top of my head that done 1/15 was...

Looking for Soviet 1/16 or 120 mm stuff

It does not matter if the figures are bigger so long as the weapons and equipment are to 1/16 scale then everything will be fine. If the MG42 is around 69mm then it is 1/16 scale, if it's 74mm then it's 1/15 scale cheers Richie

Hi Nap, Totally agree a very inspirational piece, just had to buy for the reference factor too. I could have used the other reference above from the net, but The Friends of the 10th are a charity. So also supporting this charity I get double the pleasure and contribting in a very small way to...
