    Cgs I'm your Huckleberry

I was just on the site, but this bust wasn't on it. Every time I searched for a particular size of figure (100mm, 120mm etc.), the all of them (except for this bust) came up. I might be interested in this and in 'Wyatt' when he's available. Loved the movie. Dennis Quaid as 'Doc' was the only...

new release mindwork games , mushroom shaman

Now that is pretty freakin' bizarre! I kind of like it...but then I'm fairly disturbed...

    Cleaning plastic palettes

I put a piece of aluminum foil over them, pressing it down into the cups and wrapping it over the edges. Besides putting paint in the cups, for minute amounts of needed paint, there's enough folds, wrinkles and areas in the foil to mix tiny amounts of paint instead of using the entire cup...

Sir George Martin has passed away

Sir George produced the soundtrack of my life - not only the Beatles, but America and others. A multi-talented, amazing man. RIP

    Classic Winnie-the-Pooh figures?

Guys Many thanks for all the advice and information. I tried an Internet search and an 'evil-Bay' search, but I always appreciate things that can get missed.

    Classic Winnie-the-Pooh figures?

I appreciate the link, but my daughter's going the 'unDisney-fied' 'Classic' Pooh. Thanks.

    Classic Winnie-the-Pooh figures?

Not the Disney variety. Guys, I'm looking for 'Classic Winnie-the-Pooh' , Piglet, etc., figures that I can re-paint. My daughter's going to have a baby and she's decorating the nursery in 'Classic Pooh'. 'She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed', has 'suggested' that a vignette with the figures would be a nice...

    Red Ridinghood, with attitude :)

Very cool! How was the figure to assemble? Mold lines, pitting, etc.

    News Nocturna

Both are quite nice. Good to see female figures without beach ball sized...uh, chest decorations. :D

WIP Captain - Cavalry of the Plains 120mm

I owned and trained horses for decades - none now. If this horse is that exhausted, unless it's taking a dump, it's very doubtful the tail would be up in that position. You're doing a very good job on the painting of rider and horse.

    Monogram Merite figures 54mm

There's a number of them (at least yesterday) on eBay. Prices didn't seem too unreasonable. I came across the Viet Cong figure at a kit swap meet a number of years ago and picked him up for the gray army.

a silly question about the Oct Chicago show

If you go to the MMSI webpage, they'll have the announcement about the hotel rooms when they're available. There's a link in the upper left for 'The Chicago Show'. Check it regularly for updates rather than depending on non-club sources. Right now it says that check back for more information...

    bringing back texture with putty

One more thing: Both Aves and Magic Sculpt have websites. On those websites are FAQs, tips for using it and ways to contact them if you have questions. When in doubt, go to the source. Google is your friend. Do a Google search for them.

    bringing back texture with putty

I completely agree with what Ted said. I've used both Magic Sculpt and Apoxie Sculpt. The Apoxie Sculpt seems finer grained. What is an advantage to both is that you do have some working time, so rushing to get sculpting done isn't necessary it would be if you used plumber's putty. If you...

a silly question about the Oct Chicago show

It would be a rare model show or contest that didn't have vendors. A lot of any show's overhead is paid for by vendors leasing tables. Yes, there will be vendors. As to which ones, there probably won't be a list of vendors until much closer to the date of the show. The MMSI page will have more...

    Bayardi Price Increase.....

Great products, good people to deal with and priced reasonably. Even with a price increase I'm sure they'll be a bargain. I've used them for all sorts of vignettes and dioramas (of all eras) for many years. www.armandbayardi.com should get you there.

    1757. Treasure Island.

Very nice! Incredible action caught 'freeze-frame', as it were. One of my favorite movies of all time. Robert Newton was amazing and fun as 'Long John Silver'. I'll have to look for the Chronos Miniature set.

Plinths, and how do you choose yours?

I did this one a few years ago for my buddy, Pete Herrera. I displayed it at SCAHMS and got a silver medal. Pete's slogan: "When In Doubt, Paint a Nazi". He liked it and I had fun with it.
