    La Fortezza (ex EMI) 54mm white metal figure. Painted with Andrea, Citadel and Vallejo acrylics, groundwork is Vallejo acrylic paste, few pebbles and MiniNatur tufts. Base is walnut block stained darker.

    Hi Nap I do prime all the metal parts, usually I use primers from spray can, but this time Mr Hobby base white through airbrush, either way they stink :-)

    These are my favorite figures from Bill Horan, hard to decide between that Higlander Sergeant in Crimea and the shoeless Confederate infantryman. That Battle of the Wilderness diorama is simply a piece of art.

    Looking good! Like the flesh tones on that officer. I am planning also a vignette using Shenandoah Miniatures Confederate figures, officer and some infantrymen behind a wooden fence, some firing, some reloading their rifled muskets.

    I started this project today, La Fortezza 54mm white metal figure, the usual removing of mold seams and filling the pitting marks was the first things to do, few parts need to be replaced like the sling for the canteen and sling swivels for the rifle, otherwise everything seems to be ok.
