King Edward III... and now with standard bearer.

Thank you Francesco! :) Cheers mate, I think they should look good framed with the rest of the set.

WIP Battle of Crecy, 30mm flats.

Thank you Kev. As you can see there's still a long way to go with these... slowed down by the fact I'm working on other stuff at the same time.

Here's the rest of the in progress figures from the set that I'm working on... Thomas Hatfield, Bishop of Durham and his standard bearer. Sir John de Beauchamp, Kings standard bearer. Edward, Lord Le Despenser.

King Edward III... and now with standard bearer.

Thanks Andrew. There's no chance of getting the set finished before I go back to work but I'll start a thread on my v bench to show my progress. Thanks Brad, these are 30mm figures.

Voltigeurs de la Garde Impériale, 1870

Rob, thanks, that particular book arrived here on Saturday and is one of the reasons I'm querying the Courcelle illustration. I think I'll go with Andre Jouineau and do a bit of scraping of the rank insignia.

    Edward III, King of England.

Thank you and you're exactly right about digital images. It's funny though whenever I've posted photos of 30mm figures nearer their actual size there's always been someone ask for bigger photos. Good job I'm a polite sort of person. :D Roger.

Good, I love seeing these, they're great subjects and very well painted. :)

    Edward III, King of England.

Thanks very much to everyone who has commented. I don't use metallics, all the painting is done with oils. The heraldry doesn't look too great blown up like this but looks much better in the flesh at normal viewing distance. Roger.
