These chaps are almost ready to join the fray.
All left to do is their muskets and thwir ahirt cuffs.

And these troopers are put on the field of battle.
I have made a St Louis Cross for the officer, he'll be a flagbearer, still waiting for my order from GMB flags...

I have another batch of french Guards to paint, but i want to move from the blue coats to the Red coated Swiss for a little bit...

Nice detail painting on the pouches especially and they all look the part .....

A fine line of men you have there , nice start on them

The officer looks particularly good , nice character and a young looking face IMO

You must be patient painting so many of the same in a production line ....but what a resuit you get always impressive

Interesting ref flags .....do you overpaint any of the details or use as we see them here ...either way they do look effective

Did you wargame before doing these superb diorama's ?

Hi Kev , thanks for your comments.
I do paint over details on the flags, always do, even if they look as good as these on the picture.
As for wargaming, i have never done it, not really my cup of tea, li like the historical display of the dioramas, the biggest issue with them is that i have no place for them.
I may try to offer the Yorktown diorama to the Yorktown Battlefield visitor center, don't know.

Great additions in place really like the variety in uniforms your depicting , the poses ofvtgevfigures work well and all interact which is great to see

As for the visitors centre what an offer that would be , my thought is they woukd be crazy not to want it .....a so museum level piece and everywhere and everytime you look visitors will see something so special and detailed ....

Just wish I lived closer !

And i am adding one of 3 unfortunate guardsmen who fell prey to the ferocious fire from Brit musketry ...
The original figure is a colonial Militia casualty converted to a Frenchie.

Finished the dead Guardsmen and placed him on the battlefield.
Added another officer in underss uniform as well.
