    Completed Best Soldiers - Musketeer

Fantastic paint job and a really nice somber colour tone to reflect the era before modern and vibrant coloured dyes were available - love it! Gary

    Aviattic 1/32 Paul Bäumer 1918

Cracking job on both the figure and the model aircraft. Gary

    Robert the Bruce (1274-1329)

Excellent bust and a good decision with the muted and more realistic colour tones. Gary
  4. Redcap

    Royal Scots Officer

Cracking job Kev. The 'blue' which is so difficult to keep matt and also represent realistically is superbly replicated. Lovely work all round. Gary

Imp. Guard Trumpeter & French Hussar on Campaign

The box art is fantastic. Gary

    CGS 1/6 Imperial Guard Drummer

As you say, "it's a sculpting style' and some will like it for the exaggerated effects they can create. I prefer the more realistic look like you achieved with your 120mm Horse Guard Trumpeter piece (which I have) and that bearskin look perfect to me. MUCH more restrained and realistic...

CGS 75mm Drummer Imperial Guard single and trio packs

A great idea and set piece but what on earth is going on with the bearskins...? It looks like they are wearing pineapples rather than bear fur. Gary

    CGS 1/6 Imperial Guard Drummer

Drummer - I think it is fabulous apart from the bearskin fur effects which are way overdone and look nothing like the real thing at all - shame as the rest of the piece is super. Bandmaster - As good as it gets. A real 'character' piece. Gary

    Medieval knight XIV c

Nice pieces and painted superbly. Gary

The Wrath of God Andrea Miniatures 90mm

    Excellent representation of 'Black'. Gary

    Alpine Miniatures - April 2024

    Fabulous painting.

    Commemorating D Day with Heroefigures

Thanks Jason. Pic 4 I acknowledge even though the cupola is a different design but the other 3 though are still as per Steve's comments. Pic 4 is full of character isn't it and I imagine it is the PTO as that looks like USMC camo helmets..? I'm sure someone will know for certain. Bottom...

    Commemorating D Day with Heroefigures

Looking at the pics Kevin, none of these (subjectively) and definitively confirm two crew members crammed in the one opening like this kit and some (from the angles) are distinctly suggestive of people standing behind and / or to the sides giving the visual suggestion or appearance of two men...

    Commemorating D Day with Heroefigures

My immediate thought too and I have never seen two blokes in the same hatch (of any tank) when most M4 Shermans, I believe, had 2 turret hatches on the turret roof. Having been inside more modern tanks (Chieftain, M60, Leopard 1 and M1A1) and all of which are MUCH bigger than M4's in the turret...

    Crusader Knight

A fantastic handling of painting 'white' to a Masterclass standard. Gary

    CGS Hussar ......

Absolutely superb painting and especially the way you have represented the 'brown' of the uniform. I picked this piece up at the Darlington Show a couple of weeks ago and the detail and casting is tremendous. Lovely work. Gary

Completed Pegaso Miniatures 200mm Praetorian guard figure.

Tremendous progress and you are really doing this magnificent figure justice. Gary

    Crocifissione di san Pietro. 65mm

Landrotten Highlander - crucification was much misunderstood through the ages due to strict restrictions on what could be discussed about religion less you find yourself in prison (or worst) for detracting from the "official" line. As such, little wonder before the Renaissance people were...

    Crocifissione di san Pietro. 65mm

Not 'my thing' at all but this will be a superb piece for the master painters to try and recreate the original canvas but in 3D and with all the somber atmosphere of the original painting. A really interesting and above all, original concept. Gary
