As you say, "it's a sculpting style' and some will like it for the exaggerated effects they can create. I prefer the more realistic look like you achieved with your 120mm Horse Guard Trumpeter piece (which I have) and that bearskin look perfect to me. MUCH more restrained and realistic...

A great idea and set piece but what on earth is going on with the bearskins...? It looks like they are wearing pineapples rather than bear fur. Gary

Drummer - I think it is fabulous apart from the bearskin fur effects which are way overdone and look nothing like the real thing at all - shame as the rest of the piece is super. Bandmaster - As good as it gets. A real 'character' piece. Gary

Looking at the pics Kevin, none of these (subjectively) and definitively confirm two crew members crammed in the one opening like this kit and some (from the angles) are distinctly suggestive of people standing behind and / or to the sides giving the visual suggestion or appearance of two men...

My immediate thought too and I have never seen two blokes in the same hatch (of any tank) when most M4 Shermans, I believe, had 2 turret hatches on the turret roof. Having been inside more modern tanks (Chieftain, M60, Leopard 1 and M1A1) and all of which are MUCH bigger than M4's in the turret...

Not 'my thing' at all but this will be a superb piece for the master painters to try and recreate the original canvas but in 3D and with all the somber atmosphere of the original painting. A really interesting and above all, original concept. Gary
