What is the origin of the shield design on this figure - a yellow heater shield with a diagonal white stripe superimposed on a black disk. I'm aware of the Osprey illustration and the Sol, Seil, and Andrea figures that are based on it, but I haven't found any other info on it. Nothing even close...

Thanks everyone! The metals were stippled in place, dabbing down, then a short sidestroke, then lifting, all following the curves in the same horizontal direction. No secrets. I'll have it at the Lone Star Figure Show this weekend. That way, you'll be able to see the warts... ;) Glen

A flat from Andreas Trost about 3.5" tall (maybe 1/10 scale(ish)?). Reaper acrylics over Floquil Model Railroad Gray Primer. Finished it, but made a few tweaks base on feedback so this is the second version. Also tried to replicate the weave of a coarse linen surcoat and the grain of beaten...

John brought this to the North Texas Figure Club meeting on Saturday. It's even better in person! The red cloak has a velvet look to it. Very impressive... Glen

Thanks all! I was going for a dark skinned Moor. The skin tones are: Reaper Linen White eyes with Walnut Brown (WB) pupils. The eyes are little more than slits, so I left it that. WB for the eyelashes - basically a dark line around the entire upper lid and a dark line around the lower lid...

Hi all. I've downloaded Sculptris and I'm try to create a flat. Having some issues... I start out with the program's default ball of virtual clay, but I can't seem to flatten it into a round but flat disk. Once I get there I think I can pus, pull, pinch, and crease my way to a flat. Does anyone...
